Hundreds of Nabisco factory workers went on strike and called on consumers to boycott. Mondelez, the snack conglomerate that owns Nabisco, wanted them to work 12-hour days & weekends with no overtime pay. Factory workers in Portland, Oregon, were the first to go on strike on August 10. Workers at Nabisco sites in Richmond, VA and Aurura, CO followed suit.
