Columbia says it can’t afford workers’ demands — after its most lucrative year in 10 years. With an endowment of $14.4 billion dollars, Columbia University is as powerful as a Fortune 500 company. But the student workers who make the university run aren’t paid enough to live on.

We spoke with striking workers who are fighting back.
