Pro-Union Starbucks Manager in Memphis Quits in Protest

The Memphis location is a part of a wave of dozens of union filings for the coffee giant.

Starbucks workers in Memphis, Tennessee, are unionizing. They’re demanding higher wages, better hours, and increased COVID safety. Sadly they’ve fallen victim to Starbucks’ aggressive anti-union campaign.

After their manager was forced to falsely write up workers by their district manager, she quit. Now the interim management has cut hours, scheduled skeleton crews, and removed benefits.

Once workers started organizing for higher wages, severe union-busting began. This location was closed four days in the same week for corporate to avoid community support for the union.
